Job Vacancy - Criminal Solicitor - Wirral/Chester

John Black Solicitors are an expanding Criminal, Mental Health, and Prison Law Firm wanting to recruit a full-time Solicitor for the Wirral/Chester side of the business.

The successful candidate must be highly organised and used to working in a busy law firm.

The successful candidate needs to be Police Station Accredited as well as a Duty Solicitor and used to dealing with people of all types.

A car is essential.

This is at times a demanding but highly rewarding role that could lead to further opportunities within the firm.

Full training will be provided.

Hours of work are Monday-Friday 9am-5pm although out-of-hours work will be required and Police Station/Court work is renumerated for unsociable hours.

Competitive salary offered dependent on experience.

Working practices are flexible and everyone can work remotely at times.

Job Vacancy - Crown Court Caseworker

Job specification – We are expanding! Would you like to join our team? We are presently looking for a new member of staff for our Crown Court department. Some legal experience would assist but full training can be given. Good admin skills are a must as will need good keyboard/computer skills, be well organised, good communicator, and can speak to people on all levels. Presentable and able to work under pressure. Able to work independently at times but also as part of a team. Great opportunity and very interesting role and ability to progress within the firm – can be involved in conferences with Barrister’s and clients, undertake prison visits and attend at Crown Court. Car needed but only when not needed in the office. Will be Manchester based.

Salary range £22-26K depending on experience.
